The SCM20PSLT represents ATCs highest performing 2-way, floor-standing, passive loudspeaker. The model has been in continuous production since 1996 and has evolved through three driver/crossover revisions into its current form.
It's 2-way crossover network is hand-made by ATC using very high-quality film capacitors and ATC's own air-cored inductors, employed for their lack of hysteresis and lower distortion. Input to the crossover is made via heavy duty bi-wire terminals.
The loudspeaker is ideally paired with ATC pre/power/integrated amplifiers. However, their neutral fidelity, outstanding resolution and modest load impedance also ensures excellent compatibility with a very wide range of quality electronics.
The cabinet is constructed to be heavy and inert with a combination of bracing for stiffness and damping to suppress resonance. Bitumastic damping panels are deployed at critical positions to minimise cabinet colouration.
It is available in a wide range of finishes.
The SCM20PSLT is also available as a stand-mount 'classic' model, in the form of the SCM20PSL. The performance of the floor-standing and stand-mount versions is identical and the choice of which to use comes down to your visual preference.
